Ciara Coleman

Ciara Coleman is from Durham NC and began dancing at Dance Theatre South when she was 6 years old. Over the years, she has taken classes at Ninth Street Dance and minored in dance at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. During her dance journey, Ciara’s had the opportunity to learn and explore various dance styles such as Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop, and Clogging. Ciara utilizes dance as a way to recenter herself and as a reminder of how beautiful life can be. She’s so excited to have the opportunity to learn and grow.

Drake Parrott

Drake Parrott is originally from Crossville, TN. He began studying modern and aerial dance at East Tennessee State University, where he received his B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2018. Drake has enjoyed performing both on the stage, street, ground, and air with Mountain Movers Dance Company throughout northeast TN, as well as in New Orleans through the InFringe Festival. He has also studied with the American Dance Festival and Aerial Dance Festival under Nancy Smith. Drake loves to learn, and is excited to learn as much as possible for as long as he can!

Sara Adams

Sara Adams, born in Durham, North Carolina, is a joyous dancer, performer, and choreographer who started her dance journey with Ballethnic, a ballet company located in Atlanta, Georgia. She advanced her training at Triangle Youth Ballet in Chapel Hill, North Carolina under the direction of Lauren Lorentz de Haas, Kate Corrin, and Audrey Fenske. She continued her dance journey at Durham School of the Arts where she took instruction from Christine Fisher and Sarah Adams Bean. At Durham School of the Arts, she was a member of the Senior Dance Company during her Junior and Senior year. In 2014, Sara attended UNCSA Summer intensive where she performed and studied under Casey Noblett, Trish Casey, and Sean Sullivan. She currently graduated in May 2019, at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and Choreography. During her time at VCU, Sara has studied with choreographers including Gregory Maqoma (guest artist), Autumn Proctor Waddell (faculty), and Ching-I Chang (visiting faculty). She also has performed in student capstone works by Hallie Chametzky, Ca’lynn Scruggs, TaylorDiggs, and Mariah Eastman. During the summer of 2018, Sara performed at the American Dance Festival (ADF) as a community dancer with Ronald K Brown’s/ Evidence Dance Company. Sara had the pleasure of participating in the 2019 American College Dance Association’s Mid-Atlantic South conference at Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. After graduating from VCU, Sara continued her dance journey by participating in the Movement Invention Program in New York under the Artistic Director Francesca Harper. Sara is excited to travel the world and plans to share her brilliance by spreading self-determination, self-love, and confidence to everyone she encounters. She will continue to further her explorations in the depths of dance and life itself.
