Taylor Ofori is a nationally certified sign language interpreter specializing in post-secondary, DeafBlind, and theatrical interpreting. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and a Bachelor of Science in Signed Language Interpreting from the University of New Mexico.
Taylor joined ShaLeigh Dance Works for enVISION: The Next Chapter in 2024, where she served as an ASL Interpreter and accessibility collaborator. Drawing on her extensive experience in theatrical interpreting, she is passionate about creating meaningful access to the arts and helping ensure that Deaf and Hard of Hearing audiences can fully engage with performance experiences. Since joining the project, Taylor has remained an invaluable contributor to the continued development of enVISION, helping build a network of accessibility professionals and community partners in support of the project’s planned 2027 premiere.
Prior to her career in interpreting, Taylor served as Front of House Manager for a Broadway theatre in New Mexico, where she combined her love of the performing arts with her talent for coordination and audience engagement. When she is not working, Taylor enjoys spending time with her daughter Haddie, her partner Aaron, and their dog Gru.
