What is enVISION?
enVISION is a disability-led artistic initiative that advances new approaches to artistic creation, workforce development, leadership cultivation, and community-engaged practice.
Cultivated by ShaLeigh Dance Works through ongoing collaboration with Blind, low vision, Deaf, hard of hearing, DeafBlind, and disabled artists and community leaders, enVISION transforms access from a support service into a creative methodology. Through artistic production, leadership development, and community partnership, the initiative explores how disability culture, sensory experience, and collaborative creation can expand what is possible in contemporary performance.
At its core, enVISION asks a simple question:
How might the arts change when disability expertise is valued not as accommodation, but as artistic leadership?

- 1200+ audience and community participants
- 95% of audience members expressed a desire for more inclusive arts experiences
- 81% of collaborators adopted new inclusive practices
- 80% reported increased understanding of blindness, low vision, or hearing loss
- 77% reported a shift in how they think about dance and theatre
- 10 artists participated in the Movement Mentor pilot program
