Jessica Wooten

Jessica Wooten was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. She graduated from East Carolina University with a BFA in Dance with a concentration in Performance and Choreography, as well as an Entrepreneurship Certificate. During her time at ECU, she extensively studied in a triple track program of ballet, jazz, and modern. She has attended the American Dance Festival summer intensive in 2017 and 2019; where she performed in Dark Meadow Suite by Martha Graham in the Footprints Performance. Jessica also had the opportunity to study at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance study abroad summer program while in school. Most recently, she was a part of Carrie Mae Weems’ outdoor exhibition RESIST COVID / Take 6!, as well as Taryn Griggs and Chris Yon’s piece Pairs in the Park. Jessica has a passion for performing along with teaching dance to young aspiring artists, and is excited to continue to research the heart of dance and movement!
